Nursing Care

Our nursing team includes experienced ACLS/PALS Certified Registered Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants who provide one on one quality care. Nursing care is focused on the assessment, diagnosis, planning, treatment and evaluation of post operative and medical patients from admission to discharge. Emphasis is placed on patient safety, medication/pain management, initiation of rehabilitation, patient/family education and an overall satisfactory hospital experience.

Nursing activities include:

• Pain management, including patient controlled analgesia
• Drain care
• Cardiac monitoring with remote telemetry
• Nutritional management including Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), and NG tube/G-tube/J-tube care
• Management of abdominal/GI drainage systems including ostomies
• Medication management
• Patient safety
• Respiratory care, including arterial blood gas (ABG) monitoring
• Patient/family education.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for guiding care of the patient based upon an individualized plan. Nursing staff is provided with continuing education, training and maintains competency as defined by the unit/role specific job description.

Available Support Services include: physical therapy, ostomy care/education and management, dietary consultation, and case management for initiation of outpatient home health services, physical therapy and equipment rental.

Outpatient services are provided Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm.All outpatient services must be scheduled and will be provided based on bed availability.

Outpatient Services include:

1. Biologic Infusion Therapy (drugs used for rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, Multiple Sclerosis, etc.)
2. Iron Infusion
3. Blood Transfusion
4. Osteoporosis Treatment (Reclast)
5. IV Antibiotic Therapy
