The DAISY Story
The DAISY Award was created by the Barnes family to honor the extraordinary nurses who cared for their son Patrick with compassion during his hospitalization. Moved by the kindness nurses showed beyond just clinical care, the family established the DAISY Foundation to recognize and celebrate the life-changing emotional support nurses provide every day.
